Hotel overlooked garden and the room was absolutely perfect. Its location in Koh Tao was marvellous, close to restaurant in the city, the jungle above the beach and Tanote Bay, which is really isolated from the rest of the island

This hotel is a great quiet getaway, nestled in the "jungle," with a nice beach just in front. The staff is nice and friendly, and the rooms are basic but clean, with the added bonus of remote-controlled AC. Plus, the breakfast is delicious!
All was well, nothing to complain about.

Amazing view and world-class snorkeling in a secluded cove. the staff was accommodating and the wifi connection was strong. the gardens around the bungalows were nice, and they even provided a free pickup from the pier.
The eco cottage rooms were in need of renewal, with dirty walls and a leaking mosquito net. We also had issues with bugs in the room, including finding wings on the floor and a bed bug.

Spent Christmas in a cozy bungalow surrounded by nature. the pool overlooking the beach was the best place to relax and enjoy the beautiful sunset. Snorkelling was amazing! the marine life around was breathtaking! the food was fresh and tasty.
The location is a bit isolated, which makes it difficult to move around. Taxis can be very expensive, and public transportation is not available.

The location of the Montalay Eco-Cottage was perfect for a beach getaway. We had direct access to the beach and enjoyed spending our days relaxing in the sun. The staff were friendly and always had a smile on their faces, making us feel welcome throughout our stay. The snorkeling in Tanote Bay was absolutely amazing, with beautiful coral reefs and abundant marine life. We also appreciated the cleanliness of the cottages and the overall value for money. I would highly recommend Montalay Eco-Cottage for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.
Although the private beach was okay, it had some stones which made it less comfortable to walk on. Additionally, there were not enough sun loungers available for all the guests at the beach and pool, which meant we had to leave the resort to find seating.

This place was great to relax and be close to the beach. the eco cottage we stayed in was situated right next to a beautiful snorkeling site with a colorful reef and fish. the property had a nice and clean pool, and snorkel/mask and fins were available to rent for a good price. the buffet breakfast was delicious with sweet and savory options.
The location was a bit isolated from the town center and shops except for the resort's on-site restaurant.

Spent a fantastic New Year's break at an eco-resort on a pristine beach. The gardens were absolutely stunning, with amazing views over the ocean. Loved the complimentary water activities, which included snorkeling gear and a kayak. The peaceful location meant I switched off and enjoyed the calm.
The food was a bit of a letdown, with limited options and high prices compared to the rest of the area. , while the beachfront location was ideal for the activities on offer, it was quite a trek to get to civilization for supplies.
